This years Northern Convention is only a week away and is promising to be another great event. The full line up includes Jay Scott Berry, Thom Peterson, Luke Jermay, Will Houstoun, Marc Oberon, Ian Keable, Mat Ricardo, High Jinx, Paul Joyce, Brian Egerton, Anthony Heaton, Doug Gregg, Cline Moore, Jeani, Ben Proos and Tom Stone.

The events list includes lectures, workshops, junior competition, international close-up gala show, Saturday evening late show, an exclusive Northern Junior only workshop with stars of the convention and the whole weekend culminates in the International Gala Show on the Sunday evening.

All advanced convention registrants will be entered into the Golden Ticket prize draw for a free workshop during the weekend with Luke Jermay. If you scan the QR code using your phone you will get exclusive access to the weekend schedule of events.

The Northern Magic Circle are once again offering the opportunity of a FREE master class at their forthcoming NMC Convention.

The Golden Ticket draw will see all whom register prior to 31st March 2011 entered into a draw for the masterclass, with 10 lucky winners being treated to a hands on session with Luke Jermay.

The Golden Ticket promotion is just one of the innovative ideas which have been implemented since the new Convention Team took on the organisation. The team have been working to provide a convention which appeals to ALL magicians in differing categories from mentalism to children’s and close-up to stage.

They acknowledged that re-branding was necessary to move the convention to the next level and as a result have created a new convention website and introduced online booking, masterclasses and other new features at the annual event. As a result, the team have seen registrations rise 50% from 2008 levels and have managed to attract some big names to the event with Gregory Wilson, Dynamo, Nathan Kranzo, Marc Paul, Kostya Kimlat and Thom Peterson all having joined them.

The show will feature the current FISM World Champion of Parlour Magic Marc Oberon, from Australia the elegant magic of Jay Scott-Berry, regular Las Vegas performer Luke Jermay, the astounding magic of award winning junior performer Ben Proos, laughs a plenty from Ian Keable, the amazing juggling skills of Mat Ricardo and Sweden’s award winning magician Tom Stone.

The Northern Magic Circle are proud to present the Luke Jermay Workshop. As well as appearing at this years Northern Magic Circle Convention, Luke will be performing an additional workshop on Friday 15th April in Scarborough.

Luke has received critical acclaim from some of the biggest names in the magic community. The Luke Jermay workshop is focused on the contemporary use of billets an supporting technique with heavy attention to cold reading techniques.

In the workshop you will learn 3 of Jermay’s systems for mind reading including his ‘Mind Museum’ method which allows a mentalist to instantly know the mind of a total stranger, his Leading Reading methods that allow for super charged and utterly accurate descriptions of people lives and also his ‘Real Mind Reading’ techniques which use psychology to extend simple reveals to the point of the amazing.

All are taught within supporting effects and Jermay’s signature “4DT” billet sequence is taught in detail. Attendees to the workshop receive special workshop notes as well as a ‘bundle’ of manuscript’s. Tom Stone and Ian Keable have been added to this years line-up for the Northern Magic Circle’s Convention.

Sweden’s Tom Stone, the critically acclaimed author of Vortex and one of the most inventive minds in magic will be presenting his new lecture which has never before been seen in the UK, Tom will also be performing in both the close-up and stage gala show.

The Northern Magic Circle are pleased to add both Luke Jermay and Thom Peterson to the line up for the forthcoming NMC Convention 2011.

Luke will be lecturing, and performing in both the close-up gala and Sunday evening gala show. Luke has been a keen publisher of material with no fewer than 33 books to his name and is one of the most inspiring performers of mentalism currently working and was a consultant for Derren Browns Trick of the Mind series.

The Amazing Guy himself, Thom Peterson, is back by popular demand following his success at last years convention. This year he will be the host and compere for the Sunday gala show with his unique comedy style and is sure to be a star of the convention. Both Luke and Thom join the already confirmed acts in Jay Scott-Berry, Will Houstoun and Marc Oberon.
