The Session is fast approaching, with a fabulous line up of close-up artists, The Magic Circle Stage Magician of the Year, John Archer was kind enough to have a chat with us about what he’s up to, what he hopes to do at the session, TV Magic, Tim Vine and where he likes to perform..

Remember very few tickets remain for The Session, so book now!!

We’ve updated our listing for The Session with the planned schedule for the weekend, the full list of artists appearing, and some extra info on the event.

This years Session really does have such a great line up, that it’s definitely the year to attend.

We’ll be there all weekend reporting as it happens, as well as bringing you all the information in the next few weeks in the run up to the best Close-Up only convention there is!

Even more names have been added to The Session 2009 making it possibly one of the biggest session conventions so far..

Newly announced names: Will Houstoun (UK), Mark Elsdon (UK), Thom Peterson (USA), Rodney James Piper (Spain), and Craig Petty (UK) will all join Jon Allen, Ray Kosby, David Acer, John Guastaferro, Noel Qualter, John Archer, John Van Der Put, and Ben Earl.

Craig Petty, Will Houstoun and Mark Elsdon will all be doing workshops, Rodney James Piper will be MC’ing the close-up gala show, which will include Thom Peterson

So make sure you mark the dates: 17th and 18th January 2009. Tickets are selling fast so head over to the official website and book a ticket before it’s too late!

Jon Allen has been added as a lecturer at The Session 2009. A previous Magic Circle Close-up Magician of the Year and the IBM Gold Cups winner, Jon’s close up skills are second to none and is a very creative close up artist.

Jon joins a host of performers who include Ray Kosby, David Acer, John Guastaferro, Noel Qualter, John Archer, John Van Der Put, and Ben Earl for possibly the best ‘close up only’ convention there is!
