Don’t forget that you will more than likely need a VISA to get into China to attend FISM Beijing, 2009, There were apparently problems with some people getting their invitation letters to allow them to apply for a VISA, second letters are being emailed out to the address you registered with, if you have NOT got your visa please email info@fism2009.org or visit the main FISM website for details on the invitation letter process.

HOTELS

There are six recommended hotels for the registrants of FISM 2009. All are located around the Beijing Olympic Green and very close to China National Convention Centre, which is the venue of FISM 2009.

The Super 5-star Intercontinental Beijing Beichen Hotel and the 4-star China National Convention Center Grand Hotel are connected to the convention center by an enclosed walkway. The other four hotels are within walking distance, and free shuttle bus are planned to be run between CNCC and hotels.

All the recommended hotels are Olympic appointed hotels, equipped with advanced facilities and offer good service.

The Organizing Committee of FISM 2009 has obtaioned preferential rates for registrants. FISM 2009 registrants can book the hotels via the the main FISM 2009 website using the official online booking for hotels for FISM 2009.

Please note: Only if you have registered for FISM 2009 and book the hotels on FISM 2009 official website, you can get the preferential room rate. Booking with the hotels directly cannot guarantee the rates.

The rates listed on the FISM site are in ChiNese Yuan, which you will need to convert to your own currency prices range, although it is worth noting that Beijing will be very hot during the time of the convention, so you may wish to stay very close to the convention center.
