Interactive Map and Places to Eat and Essential Supplies
The Convention takes place close to Blackfriars Bridge, and theres a wealth of small cafes and pubs in the area. You can of course also eat at the Mermaid Theatre itself.

Below you will find an interactive map of the Convention area. You’ll also find a host of local drinking and eating locations, parking locations, some pharmacy’s, cash points, parking locations and other things you may need. Hopefully the icons are obvious.

Please note that we’ve not visited all these locations, and as far as we know they are correct, but please check before making any plans, it’s meant as a guide. If you know of any particular places we really should add (or delete!) please let us know at info@magicconventionguide.com.

Venue Information

Ground Floor Entrance/Foyer

• Here you will find the Ticket & Registration/Information Desks. From this point on you must be wearing your convention badge at all times.
• A Cloakroom is available here but is unmanned and belongings are left at your
  own risk

Mezzanine Level

• Access point to the Theatre Auditorium for ALL PERFORMANCES in the Mermaid Theatre.

First Floor

• Bridge Bar (see below for Food Menu information) and Gallery
• River Room Bar – late night bar access (for attendees only) until 2am SAT/SUN

Second Floor

• Blackfriars Room, The Studio and Miles Room. Exhibitors will be in all 3 rooms ALL DAY from 10am to 6pm on Saturday & Sunday.

WIFI – is available throughout the venue free of charge. Please contact the registration desk for a password.

Registration Info
Upon arriving at the foyer of the Mermaid, you will find a Registration Desk with sections as follows:

• “Pre-Registered” – If you have Pre-Registered your ticket will form your badge (after the stub has been removed by a steward). Please fill in your name in the space on your badge. You will be provided with a badge holder and schedule of events for the weekend. Please wear your badge at all times within the convention centre.
• “Ticket Collection” – If you are collecting tickets – please have the name the tickets were booked under, some identification and the credit card used for payment. You will then receive your badge as per the Pre-registered attendee above.
• “Ticket Purchase” – If you wish to purchase tickets – we currently have tickets available for all weekend events except for Saturday & Sunday evening Gala Shows. The weekend event ticket is £65 (other daytime options available) and provides a packed programme of magic.

If you are attending the evening Gala Show only (on Saturday or Sunday), please present your ticket to an usher/ steward who will direct you to the pre-theatre gala bar. If you are collecting Gala Show tickets, please proceed as above to the Ticket Collection point in the foyer.

Housekeeping Formalities
We have few formalities at this weekend of magic but may we respectfully ask you to pay special attention to those we do have for the smooth running of the convention and the comfort and enjoyment of all attendees:

• Please turn off your mobile phone at all times in the Theatre
• Strictly no unauthorised flash photography or recording of any of the performances is permitted.
• No unauthorised dealing is permitted.
• Seats for all daytime events are unallocated. Please do not hold empty seats in between events.
• Please refrain from leaving and re-entering the auditorium during performances.

We’ll update below any special offers, deals, or vouchers that you can use around the town to get cheaper food, or deals. We’ll keep adding vouchers as we spot them, so keep checking back in the run up to the convention. Most voucher should hopefully appear the week before the convention starts.
