The Northern Magic Circle Spring Parade will take place in Southport on the 4th & 5th of April 2009.

There are two Gala Shows planned and currently we have confirmed the UK’s funniest magician John Archer, From the USA Greg Wilson, and for the cardicians, Dynamo (Steve Frayne). We also have engaged James Brown, Amethyst Illusions and a fantastic act from Germany, Alana, who recently won a place in the team representing Germany at FISM in Beijing next year. This will be her UK debut.

There will be a number of lectures from other leading close-up workers as well as kids lecture from Russ Brown who scored so highly at Kidology this year. Other acts are in planning and will be published as soon as contracts are agreed. There will be a fabulous childrens show on the Saturday morning and a host of dealers on site for the whole weekend.

There will be the usual Close-up and Stage competitions for both Juniors and adults as well as our ‘History of Mystery’ Lecture called ‘Illusions of Grandueur’ by John Palfreyman. The lecture will illustrate the props behind the scenes of some of the more spectacular illusions that appeared on TV during the likes of the David Nixon show and the Pendragons.

Registrations will open in October and both online and postal applications will be accepted. We are planning a to give away a promotional DVD to the first 50 applicants. Details of hotel accomodation prospects will be posted on the website soon.
