The Essential Magic Conference, the world’s first web conference for magicians has announced that FISM is now aligned with the Conference. Announcing that they have received confirmation from Eric Eswin, International President of FISM, organisers of the World Championship of Magic, will join the EMC.

The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) is the sole organiser of the FISM World Championships of Magic (WCM). These are internationally recognised by all major magic societies. The first WCM was in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1948. Since that time FISM has been organising World Championships of Magic on a grand scale every year and since 1952 every three years. The latest WCM took place in 2009 in Beijing, China. The 25th WCM will be held in July 2012 in Blackpool, England.

FISM’s reputation for organising gargantuan conferences that showcase the best in magic is unrivalled. The list of FISM competition winners reads like a who’s who in magic: Fred Kaps, Hans Moretti, Pierre Brahma, Richard Ross, Tommy Wonder, John Ramsay, Arturo de Ascanio, Lance Burton, Norbert Ferré and many more.

Incredibly, when looking at the list of Speakers at the EMC you can see that they have many FISM award winners among them: Cyril Takayama, Lennart Green, Helder Guimarães, Richard MacDougall, Gaetan Bloom and Topas. They will be joined at the conference by Eric Eswin, International President of FISM.
