October 9th, 2010 by Magic Convention Guide

Peter Wardell is widely recognised as one of the strongest performers of magic in the country today. Not only is he an award winning close-up magician but he has also received critical acclaim for his theatre and cabaret work.

In 2009 Peter beat some of the worlds best magicians to become the Magic Circle Close-up Magician of the Year 2009. He is a previous winner of the International Magic Close-up Magician of the Year and is the recipient of the Carlton Award for Comedy. Peter was also chosen as the opening act at the Magic Circle’s 100th Birthday celebrations performing in front of 1000 magicians from around the world including many of the most famous names in the art.

International star Romany - Diva of Magic - will lecture during the day, as well as closing the evening gala show at the One Day Convention on Sunday 3rd April 2011 with her spectacular stage act Romany beat off high class competition to win the IBM British Shield for the most entertaining stage act at the IBM ’s Eastbourne Convention last month.

The WMA One Day Convention will feature lectures, workshops and performances from a full range of magic celebrities. The WMA will be celebrating its 80th year in 2011 and the long running bi-annual convention, which will be attended by the usual wide variety of magic dealers, will be one of the highlights of the year.

Full details of yet another major international magician who will be participating, will be announced later. Whole day tickets including a ticket for the evening Gala Show will be £18 if booked in advance and £20 on the door. The location, as in previous years, will be the Kinson Community Centre, Millhams Road, Kinson, Bournemouth BH10 7LH and the WMA One Day Convention will take place on Sunday 3rd April 2011
