The 2009 Society of American Magicians National Convention being held in Buffalo, July 15 through July 18 is featuring, among other talented acts, The Gustafsons’ Magic by Candlelight.

Richard Gustafson, who was National President of the S.A.M. from 1973 to 1974 and who was inducted into the S.A.M. Hall of Fame in 2000, burst upon the national scene when he and his wife, Joanne, performed on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1967. Since then, the Gustafsons have performed at trade shows and in theaters and hotels in England, Canada, Monte Carlo, Singapore, the Caribbean, and 40 of the 50 United States, and over the years have shared the stage with George Burns, Joan Rivers, Johnny Mathis, Buddy Greco, and other stars.
