The International Magic Convention (Mermaid Theatre, London Nov 27-29) has an established reputation for bringing exciting new talent to British shores for the first time, with debut English Convention appearances from the likes of Gary Kurtz, David Williamson, Rick Merrill and Lennert Green in the past.

This year many more performers will be appearing fro the first time here. Chris Mitchell, a well known comedy magician who plays all the major comedy venues and cruise ships in America will be appearing in the Friday Night Stand Up Comedy Show and will also be performing his “Ambassador of Love” routine in the Gala Show, which is sure to be one of the comedy highlights of the evening.

David Minkin a well established Californian close up performer, is a previous IBM Close Up Winner in the USA and a finalist in last years joint IBM/SAM $10,000 invite-only competition. His act which encompasses wonder, surprise, nostalgia and delight in a truly enchanting theatrical display will be a feature of the Close Up Gala Show.
