In this podcast Jonathan Bayme and Dave Buck hosted Magic-Con’s second podcast with two very special guests, John Lovick and Eric Mead. Dave talks further about what Magic-Con is and who it’s for and ended with a few details about the event including when registration will go on sale.

Also in the podcast, John Lovick and Eric Mead discuss the importance of a serious conference for magicians and why the goal of Magic-Con is important. Eric also provides some valuable feedback for the younger generation of magicians and hints to what he might be talking about. It’s an insightful discussion and just a tease to what you can expect at Magic-Con.

Magic-Con Registration Early Bird Rates and Information

Registration for Magic-Con will be limited and it is expected it to fill up fast. The reason the organisers are keeping the conference small is to provide an intimate feel throughout and allow everyone to hopefully get to know each other on a personal level. Many of the events at Magic-Con will require everyone’s participation too, which would be a near impossible task if registration was unlimited.

Registration for Magic-Con 2010 is $299*. This price includes all events such as, lectures, workshops, presentations, interviews, discussions, interactive sessions, inspiration talks as well as performances. This price does not include hotel accommodation. There is a special discounted rate at the Hilton Bayfront for Magic-Con registrants. Information on how to reserve your room at this rate will be included in registration confirmation emails.

To kick off registration for Magic-Con there are some very exciting promotions:

*Registration for the first 100 people will be only $199.

Once 100 registrations have been sold, registration with then go up to $299. These are expected these first 100 to go very fast

Out of the first 200 people to register, 11 will be randomly selected for VIP treatment.
The selected 11 will receive a special VIP badge that will gain them access into an exclusive after party for conference organizers, sponsors and presenters only. They will also be invited to a private luncheon with one or more of the presenters.

Registration for the 2010 conference will open October 19th at 12pm (est), so keep watching to take advantage of these special rates.
