AbraCORNdabra Magic Convention is Iowa’s LARGEST Magic Convention, taking place May 18- 20 2012 From the organisers:

Imagine the thrill of a Mega Las Vegas Magic Convention with all the big name stars, fun & thrilling lectures, shows, and “extras” that make Las Vegas Conventions so exciting, and is combined with the “Down-to-earth”, Hometown Charm that is a Midwestern convention like Abbotts or M.A.E.S. - that is what AbraCORNdabra is all about! What would it be like to attend one of those Big Vegas Conventions with more than a dozen Magical Stars - but there were only 150 to 200 of you in attendance? It means More Time with the stars and everyone gets to know each other! You are not merely a “number” at AbraCORNdabra - you are a magical star in your own right - rubbing elbows with the working pros.

This three-day convention thinks “outside the box” with unique shows like “Who’s Wand Is It Anyway?” - a Magic-themed Comedy Improv Show. Close-up parlors with seating limited to 25 to 30 guests at a time for perfect intimate viewing to see this year’s line-up of super-star close-up wonder workers Johnny Thompson, Scott Hitchcock, Wayne Houchin, & Alan Ackerman up close and personal.

Wanna see Stage Illusionists? How about three on one stage show? Ben & Margaret Ulin, Kevin & Robin Heller, and Keith West & Company fill the stage with a magic warehouse full of Illusions!

Comedy is king at AbraCORNdabra with several great comedy acts including Las Vegas Celebrity President Bill Clinton Impersonator Tim Smallwood, L.A.Comedy Circuit Stand-up Comedian Scott “Doodad” Dorfman, Former Ringling Brothers Circus Clown Earl Chaney, and Joey The See who is “employed” with the Mob….

Living Legends of Magic? We got two! Joining us is Johnny & Pam Thompson (The Great Tomsoni & Co.) as well as the First Woman of Magic, Celeste Evans!

Tired of the same ol’ stuff seen in ALL the Dealers Rooms? Not At Abracorndabra! Each Dealer is “hand picked” to offer unique, one-of-a-kind items.
Watch as Foam Magic Props are made Right Before Your Eyes by Randi Rainherself of Rain Cloud Magic! (You cant buy it any fresher than that!) - Books (and we mean a ton of them!), Vintage and new props - even Bill Smith Illusions! Need a new promo photo? How about paying just Twenty Five Dollars for a 20-min photo session with a photographer who shoots many of the Las Vegas Stars Personal promo photos? Fine, Hand-crafted wooden props from names like Michael Baker and Gimpy, Doug HenningEstate Items, and so much more is offered in the 3,000 square foot “Field of Deals” Dealer’s Room.
