Patrick Redford with his unique Psychological Magic, has been bending the minds of audiences across the world for more than ten years.

Born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area of the USA, Patrick featured as a lecturer and performer at Las Vegas Mindvention in 2007 and in addition to being a writer and producer of magic for other performers around the globe, he has personally entertained such notable talent as bands Metallica, Kid Rock, and Ted Nugent.

Patrick’s 2006 comic book of mentalism, Triangle, focused on three impromptu Mind Miracles and received critical acclaim from magic critics worldwide.

In addition Patrick has gone on to direct, co-direct, write and co-write a wide variety of theatrical productions that include How to Kill a Piano – his one man show, Faces in the Crowd, Loud Thoughts and Silent Screams, and The Magical Mystery Musical, among others.

The International Magic Festival 2009 will be Patrick’s first appearance in the UK, and will also be running a Master Class Sunday 15th March 3pm – 6pm at the South Tyneside International Magic Festival, and this is a unique opportunity to learn directly from Patrick.

Bob Sheets hails from Washington D.C. via San Diego, Chicago, and Aspen.

Behind his humorous presentation style is experience gained from one of the most diverse work histories in modern magic.

His serious credentials, earned in a variety of venues, include circus and side show performer, magic bartender, street magician, bar/restaurant owner, magic dinner theatre entrepreneur, trade show crowd stopper and sales meeting wake up artist. Together these make Bob an interesting character and an all-round first class magician.

Bob lectures and performs for magicians all over the world including England, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Australia and India.

In 1996 he won first place at the prestigious Ron MacMillan World Close-up Magic Contest in London.

Bob Sheets will appearing at the convention in the Gala Shows and will also be running a Master Class Sunday 15th March 3pm – 5pm at the South Tyneside International Magic Festival, and this is a unique opportunity to learn how to make a very good living.

Paul Romhany is an innovative, hilarious and highly original performer who has wowed audiences the world over. He got his start in his native New Zealand, earning a degree in music from Auckland University, followed by a piano certificate from London’s Royal College of Music. But Paul’s passion has always been in theatrics.

Paul is experienced in comedy and close up magic but is most famed for his unique interpretation of Charlie Chaplin. His infamous Charlie Chaplin magic act is regarded as one of the most original and entertaining shows in magic today all delivered in the silent film star’s formidable style.

Paul is also recognised as an accomplished author with a best-selling book and acts as a consultant for magicians worldwide with his many innovative magic creations. The International Magic Festival 2009 will be Paul’s first appearance in the UK.

Tickets for South Tyneside Magic Festival Selling Fast…

The South Tyneside International Magic Festival looks set to enjoy its biggest year yet, with much of the event already sold out.

Festival organisers South Tyneside Council, The Customs House and Martin Duffy, past President of the Newcastle Magic Circle, have attributed the early success to this year’s line-up of top class magicians, which includes a host of UK names like Paul Daniels and comedian Tim Vine, performing alongside renowned stars from the USA and Canada.

Tickets are still available for the following events.  The Family Magic Extravaganza, which takes place at the Customs House on Wednesday March 11, offers magical entertainment for all ages, including a puppet and illusion show, plus an appearance by reigning World Junior General Magic Champion Stephen Williams.  Tickets for this event are priced at £5 each.

Two International Gala Shows will follow at the Customs House on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March, each featuring spellbinding performances from five magicians and a special guest compere.  Tickets for these events are priced at £13 each or £12 concessions.

)Described as the “Cream of the Crop” when it comes to entertainers, Banachek is the world’s leading mentalist.

Born in England, he only began to realise the existence of his “powers” as a teenager in the United States and now performs such feats as bending silverware by looking at it, “reading” people’s minds and predicting the future. Banachek’s talents are so incredible that he is the only mentalist ever to fool scientists into believing he possessed psychic powers just to later reveal that he was actually fooling them with illusion.

Banachek will be running a Master Class Thursday 12th March 6pm – 9pm at the South Tyneside International Magic Festival, and this is a unique opportunity to learn how to make a very good living.
